Dr. Sun is a board certified periodontist, who specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal disease (a chronic inflammatory disease that affects the gums and bone supporting the teeth also known as gum disease), and in the placement of dental implants. Dr. Sun received extensive training in both of these areas and more, including three additional years of education beyond dental school.
Dental Implants
Dental implants, where possible, are the standard care for the replacement of missing teeth. Dental implants restore both aesthetics and function of missing teeth with much the same feel as your natural teeth.
Dr. Sun taught many other dentists about dental implant treatments when he was an associate professor in Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, CA.
